With just a little time and effort you can increase the visual quality and impact of your presentation. Strong slides will hold your audience’s attention longer and tell them that your project / idea / request is important.
This kit will walk you through the first few steps.
Remember: good presenters present data clearly and compellingly.
Step 1:
CREATE A STORYBOARD
Once you have your presentation outline and content laid out it’s time to add the visuals. Step away from the computer and grab some post-it notes ®. Use one note for each slide you want to create.

ONE IDEA PER SLIDE
Limit the amount of text you use. There’s no need for full sentences.
Use images or icons instead of text when possible. You may want to purchase or download some icons. The size of the post-it notes ® will limit what you can put on each. That’s by design!

Step 3:
THE THREE-SECOND TEST
Keep your slides clear and simple. Good design means that you’ve made your slides easy for your audience to understand. If your data/ message is confusing then nothing else matters. So, clarity is key! Can your audience glance at your slide and get the gist of it in 3 seconds? The more they have to read the less they are listening to you.

To change the text or numbers – simply click on the individual text boxes and start typing.
Use only 1-3 colors and 1-2 fonts for your whole presentation.
This will create a consistent and polished look.
