CS1D Duplex System is a cost-effective and facilitated duplex system that achieves a highly reliable system (control without unexpected stop (bumpless-- without missing a scan of an input or output), quick recovery).
Hot Swap means cards can be changed out under power ( without powering down)
This new product will eventually replace the current CS1D. The exact date needs to be determined.
There will be new part numbers for the new CS1D. Customer programs and applications will be compatible with this new CS1D
Pricing for the new part will be similar to the old.
A new version of CXONE will be released in Dec 2018 to support the new CS1D

3. New CS1D Features To meet standards for programmability

CS1D Duplex System now supports international-standard IEC programming language. With these functional improvements, we can further improve customers’ development efficiency and maintainability and help customers effectively utilize their assets.
Structured Text, Function Block, and Sequential Function Charts are added to the new CS1D to bring the product in line with recent standards.
Increased memory capacity allows users to develop larger and more complex programs
Conformal coated printed circuit boards that meet IEC60721, make the new CS1D more resistant to contamination. Conformal coating means the circuit boards are coated with a plastic or barrier to prevent contamination from damaging the unit.

These controllers are current products from Omron. There are no plans to obsolete these products.
As we go from right to left on the chart, generally I/O capability increases, memory increases, special feature such as motion and function block capability increase.
The ZEN is a relay replacement type micro controller.
The CP1 series is lower end for smaller machines requiring less program space and processing power.
The CS1 series is a modular rack based solution with a wide range of optional function cards that can be installed in addition to remote I/O modules.
The CP1 series is a modular solution where accessory modules are connected via a connector to the side of the processing unit or remotely via a network.

Here are the new part numbers for ordering. Keep in mind the new CXONE 4.50 will be needed to program these new units. When available in December, the new CXONE will begin shipping from our warehouse. Current CXONE users can download the new version from Omron 247 –MyDashboard, after December, and apply their existing license to use the new CXONE version.
