1 New England Patriots win Super Bowl LIII

2 The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII 13-3 Sunday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. How the Patriots won comes down to three main things: good coaching, good defense, and wide receiver Julian Edelman, who was named the game's MVP (10 catches for 141 yards). Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have now won six Super Bowls together, extending their record for the most by a head coach and starting quarterback combination (it was also the pair's ninth Super Bowl appearance together, the most title games for any head coach and starting quarterback duo in NFL history). With the win, the Patriots are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl titles in NFL history. Brady now has won more Super Bowls than any other player in history. At 41 years old, Brady also is the oldest starting quarterback to win a Super Bowl, eclipsing Peyton Manning, who was 39 when he won Super Bowl 50. Belichick is the oldest head coach to win a Super Bowl at age 66, and no head coach has won more Super Bowls than him. Now, he joins George Halas (Chicago Bears) and Curly Lambeau (Green Bay Packers) as the only NFL head coaches with six championships since the league began postseason play in 1933.

3 In Other News Tomorrow night, President Donald Trump will finally get to deliver his State of the Union address after agreeing to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's request to hold off on the speech during the 35-day government shutdown. Everybody knows Usain Bolt is fast. In fact, he's the fastest human in recorded history, holding the record in the 100-meter dash (9.58 seconds) and 200-meter dash (19.19 seconds). He won eight Olympic gold medals in his career, establishing himself as the preeminent sprinting star before his 2017 retirement. But sometimes it can be easy to forget just how effortlessly fast Bolt truly is. The 32-year-old reminded everyone on Saturday, when he tied the NFL record in the 40-yard dash while wearing sweats and sneakers. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross set the record in It's impressive how casually he matched it. In his prime, Bolt likely would have smashed the record (as would many other track stars), even though the Jamaican superstar’s strength wasn’t even in the first 40 meters of his race. On Groundhog Day 2019, Punxsutawney Phil could not find his shadow. And as the legend goes, this means we're in for an early spring. This is only the 19th since 1886 that Phil hasn't been able to find his shadow.
