Turning Point An event which causes a VERY significant change in history Example: The Agricultural Revolution was a turning point in human history.

The Great Thaw An event that happened 10,000 years ago when the Earth’s climate warmed and regions of the planet became warmer. Example: After the Great Thaw, many plants and animals began to flourish due to the warmer climate.

Agrarian A type of society based on farming and raising cattle.
Example: Foragers became an agrarian society once they settled down in villages.

Neolithic Age A term that means New Stone Age—period when humans started to farm and settled down. Example: The Neolithic Age began 10,000 years ago.
