Part A (15) 1) Add commas to the following sentences:
a) Rushing to the door the girl was excited to greet her guests. b) The walls which were brightly decorated were covered with posters. c) The Hunger Games which is also a movie is my favourite book. d) Despite being told several times the boy still spoke during his test. e) The girl who is very talented loves playing the guitar. 2) Are the following using commas correctly? Part B (5) Correct the spelling mistake (1 mark), add in the missing full stop (1 mark), change one comma to a semi colon (1 mark) and add in the correct punctuation for the speech (2 marks). Harry was looking forward to going to the cinema, which was in the town centre. He’d loved action movies, he always went to see the latest releeses. His bus had been slightly late now he was in a rush. Can I have a child’s ticket to see Thor please? Sorry. It’s already started.
