Philippians 2:1-2 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Objectives: Students will know the purpose of the Feast of Tabernacles and some of its traditions. Students will recognize why Jesus angered the Pharisees. Students will evaluate specific qualities in others they are thankful for and emotional and physical blessings God has given.

It is Fall and the Jews are celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles or Booths (Sakkot) It is the Sabbath

Jesus Angers the Pharisees
Why was Jesus pushing the religious leaders so hard? He wanted them to really get who He was claiming to be, even if they were angry.

List 8 things you are grateful for.
You must be specific and thoughtful. Deeper than what you have or what others do for you. Examples “Mom” is not enough- Mom’s Compassion or My mom helps me with homework “My phone” is shallow- Parent’s generosity when they give me a phone “God” is not enough- God’s gentleness when dealing with me)
