11 Rotary Citation 2019-20 SEARCH??
I regret to say that the SEARCH on Rotary.org is not the most effective I’ve seen. Rather than get frustrated by that, just sign into My Rotary, then use GOOGLE for your search needs. In my experience, Google is highly effective in finding exactly what I want. Just precede the topic with “Rotary” [click] 11

12 ACCESS TRAINING MATERIALS, DOWNLOAD PUBLICATIONS & MORE UNDER LEARNING & REFERENCE
The first important section we want to look at today is Learning and Reference, which is where you can access all of the training information by role or by topic and other materials for reference such as the Official Directory [click] and the Manual of Procedure. [click] In the same section, you will find useful courses in the Learning Center, including one on Rotary Club Central (which we’ll talk about later). Webinars will help you learn more about Rotary topics of interest such as using social media, lifecycle of service projects, or engaging young professionals. You can also go to the Document Center to browse and download forms, training manuals and publications that are produced by Rotary. [click]

13 SUBMIT DATA, VIEW REPORTS AND ACCESS FORMS ON CLUB & DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION
The next area I want to review is Manage, primarily the Club Administration page, which is where you will find information, tools, and resources, to administer your club. [click]

20 USE THE BRAND CENTER TO TELL ROTARY’S STORY
As you are carrying out your projects, keep in mind the great resource you have through our Brand Center, which is available on My Rotary under Manage. This is where we encourage you to use our new voice and visual identity to tell Rotary’s story. [click] Let’s click on the link to take a look at this special part of our website.

21 Club Logo Template This is the Brand Center: It offers download resources, editable templates and customizable materials, [click] There is a publication where you will find a detailed overview of all the colors, fonts, and guidelines with regard to our new visual identity. It is called «Tell Rotary’s story – Voice and Visual Identity Guidelines for Rotarians». This publication contains many examples and tips on how to adopt our new look. [click] You can also download the Rotary logo, program logos, or use the tool to create a logo with the Masterbrand signature and the name of your club. [click] Use our customizable templates and customizable materials to promote your club or project. [click]

22 USE THE ROTARY LOGO PROPERLY
Let‘s clean up our club collateral by replacing mis-use of Rotary branding. The old familiar blue and gold Rotary wheel is obsolete – it was replaced by the new “Masterbrand Signature“, the word Rotary alongside a gold monochrome wheel. That‘s the ONLY Rotary logo. And, the Brand Center has very specific guidelins about how the logo is to be used. Here are a few of hundreds of ways clubs have found to mis-use the Rotary logo – you can‘t use the “wheel“ as part of any other graphic – not as a wheel on a bike or as a zero in a club anniversary logo. Please examine your Website, Social Media page and all print collateral to get it cleaned up as far as branding is concerned. No, we‘re not asking you to burn all your shirts – just use the logo properly going forward. [click] 22

23 SET GOALS & TRACK PROGRESS ON ROTARY CLUB CENTRAL
Now let’s take an in depth look at Rotary Club Central. Rotary Club Central is essentially about GOALS. How many of you have personal, professional, or financial goals? And how many think that having those goals makes you more focused, motivated, and successful? I think we can all agree that Rotary clubs are the same way. That in order to be effective and impactful, it’s important that a club know where it’s been, where it’s at currently, and where it wants to go. RC Central is a tool that helps clubs set goals and track their progress. *I want to make it clear though that Rotary Club Central is not the end goal. It’s simply a means or a vehicle to help clubs think strategically, set realistic goals, and work toward their achievement. So what is the end goal…WHY is Rotary Club Central important? [CLICK] [click]

24 OR: www.rotary.org/clubcentral
ROTARY CLUB CENTRAL OR: You can access Rotary Club Central through the dropdown under Manage in the main navigator of My Rotary, or directly at [click] Let’s click on the link to take a look at this special part of our website. 24

25 EXPLORE THE BENEFITS OF ROTARY CLUB CENTRAL
Centralizes information Eliminates paper forms Fosters continuity in leadership Enables clubs to track their progress Creates transparency Showcases important work that Rotary clubs do worldwide Here are some general benefits to using RC Central to set goals: [CLICK] It centralizes information. It provides access to all the data that was previously available from several reports. It eliminates some paper. It replaces paper forms: membership, Rotary Foundation goals, & Planning Guide It fosters continuity in leadership. Club leaders change annually, so by offering them the ability to see a history of goals and achievements, it creates continuity among leaders. [CLICK] It enables clubs to track their progress. Club leaders can determine whether the goals they’ve set are realistic and make changes if needed. It creates transparency. All members are able to see club goals. It showcases the important work that Rotary clubs do worldwide. Rotary has not had a vehicle for collecting information about the millions of service projects that Rotarians undertake. With RC Central, clubs can document the details of their projects, (number of volunteers and volunteer hours and a list of in-kind donations.) [CLICK]

33 ACCESS TOOLS TO TAKE YOUR GOALS AND PROJECTS FROM IDEAS TO COMPLETION
Elizabeth Davis Digital Engagement Specialist Now, let's have a look at the Take Action section of My Rotary. [click – photo] We have a guest presenter from Rotary International, Elizabeth Davis. She is the Digital Engagement Specialist for Rotary’s online project tools which she will guide you through. Elizabeth: Thanks Terry First we’re going to start by taking a look at Rotary Showcase, which has a link right here [click] on the Take Action menu of My Rotary. [click] 33

34 rotary.org/showcase By show of hands, how many of you have ever heard of or used Rotary Showcase? Rotary Showcase is an online space for Rotarians and Rotaractors to display the impact of their successful projects and inspire fellow clubs. Here, you can: 1. browse projects to explore the good work that Rotary clubs are doing both locally and around the world 2. promote your own club and district projects by sharing project engagement (such as number of volunteer hours, number of volunteers, cash contributions, in-kind contributions), as well as description of the project and photos/videos. 3. You can also And as Terry mentioned earlier, you can achieve a Rotary Citation goal toward Public Image Enhancement by promoting one of your club’s recent successful projects on Rotary Showcase. You can also migrate projects that you have added in the Service Activities portion of Rotary Club Central directly into Rotary Showcase via Rotary Club Central. If you are accessing Rotary Showcase from outside of My Rotary, the URL address is [click] Rotary.org/Showcase. However, be advised that you must be logged in through your My Rotary account [click] in order to have project-adding capability. [click] 34

35 BROWSE PROJECTS ON ROTARY SHOWCASE
Get inspiration from the work that other Rotarians are doing around the world or take at look at your own club & district projects by browsing through projects listed on Showcase. [click] You can filter by club, district, zone, keywords, and more. 35

36 rotary.org/showcase Display your club’s Rotary Showcase page on your own website or social media page Now I’m going to hand it back over to Terry for a moment, because he’s found a special way of incorporating Rotary Showcase on club websites that he would like to show you all. Terry: In the SEARCH section you can enter a District number or your own Club ID to see only your own club's projects. [click - red box] [click - text box] NOW, here's a little known but awesome feature of Rotary Showcase. You can have your OWN club's Rotary Showcase with just your club’s projects -- for FREE. Let’s look at how to do that – Let’s enter a club number [click – 6198] We have the club ID entered, so let's click the Search Button [click] 6198 36

37 https://map. rotary. org/en/project/pages/search_project
Copy and paste your club’s SEARCH string into Facebook, Website or What you see here are only projects of the Greenville Club, #6198. [click - arrow] Notice up here at the top, an address has been filled into the browser's address bar. [click - text box] Here's a better look at that -- notice 6198 at the end. Now, I can hear you saying, "Elizabeth, I'll never be able to write that down fast enough and get it right" You don't have to. Just do the same search using your own club ID, then COPY the address and PASTE it anywhere you'd use it as a web link to your club’s own Showcase page. [click] like your Facebook page, your club's website, a club bulletin, newsletter or to members. Now, you can also search by club name instead of ID, but if your club’s name is Charlotte, you’ll get projects from every club on the planet with Charlotte in its name. The Club ID is always unique to your club. . 37

38 rotary.org/showcase Now, here's how your web designer can fully integrate Showcase into your website. [click] Notice that the top header is the Greenville Club's web page. [click] Notice that the bottom section is Greenville's Rotary Showcase. Looks like it’s all coming from the same place, doesn’t it? This is called a FRAME, and your web designer knows how to do that. [click] 38

39 ROTARY IDEAS Now let's move on to Rotary Ideas, which again [click] can be located within the Take Action tab of My Rotary. And how many of you have ever heard of or used Rotary Ideas? [Click] 39
