Statistics Grayson serves 696 gifted students this year.
Approximately 23% of Grayson High’s population is in our gifted program. There will be approximately 124 incoming 9th graders who will join our gifted program!

Gifted Courses Throughout High School
GHS offers gifted courses in most disciplines, with the highest number in the 9th and 10th grade years. Gifted Electives include Gifted Directed Study and the QUEST Internship Program (11th and 12th).

Science Pathway 9th Grade 10th Grade 11th Grade 4th science elective (10th-12th grade) Gifted Biology AP Biology Gifted Chemistry AP Chemistry (few 10th graders go this route) Honors/ Gifted Physics AP Physics Gifted Anatomy and Physiology Oceanography Forensics Astronomy AP Environmental Science AP Biology (11th or 12th) AP Chemistry (11th or 12th) Students who take the Carnegie unit for the physical science class in their 8th grade year are strongly encouraged to take an additional 4 years of science in high school. Under no circumstances will Physical Science count for Physics.
