The Eye of the Storm
2
Chapter One The Fateful day
One fateful day, I was minding my own business, watching “Sonny With a Chance” When a red banner appeared across Demi Lovato’s face. It read, “WARNING! MAJOR STORM WATCH! Category 5! EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY!” Panicked, I sprinted to my parents’ room and told them the despairing news. They checked it out, and we rushed in a storm of chaos to pack my most precious items. WARNING!

Chapter Two Teddy Bear As I blinked back drops of salty tears, I snatched my teddy and gripped him tightly. Teddy is my fuzzy, sweet old teddy bear. His fur is caramel brown and I CAN NOT sleep without him. I have had my teddy since 2002, so he is nine years old. He is VERY old, and extremely precious to me. I would weep every day if I lost him. He always comforts me no matter where I am. 2002

Chapter Three The Bookworm Inside of Me
As I clenched my teddy securely and gazed around my room, My weary eyes rested on my crammed bookshelf. Looking at the case gave me a teensy grin. I hustled to pack my most precious, happy, and LONG books. The first thing I put in put in my suitcase was my bible and devotion books. They would help me to believe in God and to trust that everything would be O.K. After that , I clutched my large variation of Wishbone books, my prized Percy Jackson books, and the whole other half of my immense bookshelf. ( I read fast.) These books would keep me occupied and keep my spirits up.

Chapter 4 My Precious Things
As I packed my final book, I remembered my most precious items: My Kindle and iPod Touch. These Items are Very precious to me. I saved an extremely long time to buy these items. The books on the Kindle and games and music on the iPod would keep me hopeful and busy. To loose these monumental benchmarks would bring me to tears. I looked around the room, my vision blurred with burning, miserable tears. Just then, I heard my mom call from the den, “Hurry up!!”

Chapter 5 Surprises and Shock
As we headed out, I realized how much of our house and history could be lost. I fought back a humongous sob as we breezed along the highway. I knew that my heart could never cease to pain me. My red, puffy eyes blinked hard as tears streamed down my drained face. I muffled a heartbroken, incoherent, bitter wail. As I stared blankly at our T.V. in our van, a red banner again popped up on Demi Lovato’s face. Poor Girl. “ Oh GREAT! I bet you the storm got WORSE!” My expression changed as I scanned the message. It read, “ The major storm known as Kayla has retired in the Gulf of Mexico.” As I relayed the message, the car turned into a chorus filled with joyful cries. Full of ecstasy, I thanked God for his amazing miracle. We all prayed and shouted for joy as we headed en route to home. WARNING
