Getting Organized A personalized textbook
All of your notes, graphic organizers and vocabulary sheets go in the science journal (interactive notebook) - Homework section- home work assignments only -Class-work- place class-work/ graded assignments under the daily work section of your binder. -Quizzes and Tests (also pretest and post test)- place quizzes and test under test section of the binder.

Maintaining the Interactive Notebook
No ripped out pages or torn corners No doodling that doesn’t relate to notes Notebook should only be used in Science. (No other classes!!) Date and number each page

A+ Organization Table of Contents My entry is organized. My entry is complete. The page numbers are written. My handwriting is neat. Notes I have a title. I have a date. I have the pages numbered. My notes are specific!! Drawings/ Diagrams/Charts I used a ruler for straight lines. This is my best, neatest work. Everything is labeled. My diagrams/drawings are specific! Glossary Each word is underlined. I skipped a line between each word.

Guidelines Use the following guideline when organizing your scientist’s notebook: Number every page (upper right or left corner) of the notebook except your table of contents Use pencil only on both sides of page. Date each page at the start notes/ graphic organizer. Keep a neat and organized notebook at all times.
