To strengthen the community of practice among accessibility professionals Objectives Define what accessibility professionals are expected to know Increase the quality of the work performed by accessibility professionals Provide accessibility professionals with a credential of their competence and commitment to the accessibility field Deliver employers with a metric to measure and assess the accessibility competence of employees Offer colleges, universities, and vocational programs a curriculum outline for teaching accessibility

Membership Profile (Year End 2018) 1,700 members (estimated) More than 110 organizations, with additional hundreds of membership slots including Fortune 500, local governments and Ivy League universities Membership: +49% since acquisition, 2/3 organizational and 1/3 individuals Continued increase in members interaction with IAAP: Posts created in Q2 2018/17: +305% Replies to posts in Q2 2018/17: +223% 39 countries represented Launched Nordic, UK and India Chapters

Certification Programs
IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) Foundational certification, representing broad, cross-disciplinary conceptual knowledge Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Technical certification for designers, developers, evaluates or who manage the technical details of accessible web solutions Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) Credential for those who pass both the CPACC & the WAS exams
