3rd most visited state park in VA (over 1,000,000 in 2017) 55.2 miles long with 2.5 mile spur into Town of Pulaski Services 4 counties, 2 towns (Pulaski and Fries) and City of Galax. Annual Park Revenues ~$275,000 Estimate Economic Impact for Region/state $15,000,000 37 miles along NR and 12 miles along Chestnut Creek

Park Specifics on Trail, ROW & Surface
Most of NRT’s ROW is 40’ from center of trail. Most of trail is relatively flat with only 20’-60’ elevation change per mile. Use grey #10 rock dust as trail covering surface. SST or Porta-Jon every 4-5 miles. Trail Shelters every 4-5 miles. Most parking lot accesses have water and bathroom facility. Parking Fee $5.00/day with Annual Passes $66/$167.
