3. STATUS OF SSPA TENDER
3 x 30kW solid-state amplifiers for feeding buncher cavities in MEBT
Tender published in March with closing date on 23/4/2018
5 offers received: BTESA and TTi from Spain, DB Science and SYES form Italy, TMD from the UK
Only two companies (BTESA and TTi) provided required administrative documents and could pass to technical evaluation stage.
Technical evaluation is in process and June 15th the third envelop which includes the offered price will be opened and the winner will be determined.

Call for tender: 6 x 500W 352MHz RF amplifiers as klystron driver.
Question: Should we add 1 or 2 driver units to the tender as spare units, under the “Scope swap” scheme?

8. KLYSTRONS
Three out of four VKP-8352A klystrons from CPI are being prepared to send to Lund
Three new klystrons to be procured (Call for tender in June)

9. EXISTING KLYSTRONS
Re-conditioning of 2 klystrons VKP-8352A SN#002 and #004 is ongoing at ESS-Bilbao test stand and expected to be finished in Q3/Q4 this year

10. EXISTING KLYSTRONS
Klystrons VKP8352A SN#001 and #003 are ready to ship to CPI, Palo Alto
Klystron #003 has a microleak in vacuum system and will be repaired at CPI
Klystrons will be tested and conditioned for long RF pulse, plus warranty extension procedure
Depends on the timing, first three klystrons that are ready, will be shipped to Lund (either form Bilbao or from Palo Alto)

11. NEW KLYSTRONS PROCUREMENT
Technical specification (SoW) and administrative documents for 3 new klystrons are ready and call for tender is to be published in June.
