FINAL JEOPARDY Topic – Cerebral spinal fluid
Question: Use the following terms to describe the circulation pattern of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain and spinal cord: arachnoid villus, lateral ventricles, fourth ventricle, cerebral aqueduct, central canal, Subarachnoid space, third ventricle, choroid plexus … of course you need to fill in the rest of the words! Answer: Csf is produced by the choroid plexus in the ventricles. The CSF moves from the two lateral ventricles to the third ventricle, from there it moves down the cerebral aqueduct into the fourth ventricle. From this point the csf either moves down the central canal in the spinal cord or through openings in the fourth ventricle into the subarachnoid space. Finally it moves back into the bloodstream through the arachnoid villi.
