Pick one of the “Signs” and turn it into a writing prompt. Prompt answer must be specific and detailed!

6 Vocab. Walk Title: Act I Vocab (Can be a half-sheet).
*Place in NOTES section. Visit each vocabulary poster and quickly take notes! Don’t rotate until told!

7 Before REading The Characters  Summary of Act I 
The Characters  Handout with who is who! (Don’t lose this! Put in NOTES. You’ll find it very helpful as the cast gets bigger and the relationships get messier.)

8 Purpose for Reading To investigate theme. We will be looking at different texts plus our own lives in order to answer the question: What effect do our families and friends have on our relationships? To investigate relationships: What are the relationships in the play and why does Shakespeare set them up that way? How does Shakespeare set up character relationships that facilitate the main events of the plot to come? (3) To have fun, make some personal connections…and see how silly some teenage decisions and behavior can be!
