Through a combination of factor analyses, internal reliability, construct, convergent and discriminant validity the 32-item DHP-1 conceptual framework is defined for Type 1 & Type 2 Insulin requiring patients. 1996-2000 DHP-18 Conceptual framework developed From the original 32-item DHP-1 the 18-item DHP-18 conceptual framework is derived for use with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes including insulin, oral and diet.
