1 Parish Adventure Service Challenge

3 Key Information Thursday night after school 3.15pm – 4pm
Children complete a range of different activities involving – adventure, service and challenge. Some element of service and challenge to be completed at home. Those who attend all sessions will be able to attend a one night camping trip in July. All children must take part in the sponsored walk.

Computer skills Active Hope (team building) Hostessing Young Enterprise project

5 How to complete the course
Children will need to successfully complete each part of the course and also complete a challenge and service element at home. Each part of the course will be signed of on a passport for the children and they will receive a certificate for completing these at the end.

6 Challenges and Service
Challenge could be – learning to count to 10 in different language, learning a new skill (knitting, sewing), creating something. Service could be – washing the dishes, making bed each morning, washing the car, helping a neighbour. These need to signed off at home on their home passports to ensure completion of the course and should be returned to school once completed.

7 Sponsored Walk In order to complete the course children need to take part in the Sponsored Walk. The walk will take place on 24th March at 10am at Carr Mill Dam, further details will be sent out nearer the time. Children will need to raise £25 each sponsorship which will go towards paying for the camping visit. Children taking part in Parish University only have to raise one £25 amount.

8 Wild Camping Trip Camping trip will be with Active Hope who work closely with school. The Camping trip will take place on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th July at Delamere forest. No charge for the visit – children can attend on successful completion of the course.

9 How to sign up Letters will be sent home tomorrow with sign up sheets included and the first session will be on Thursday 1st March until 4pm. There will be a limit of 30 who can take part due to numbers for the camping trip.
