What Is This All About? TS is a customer requirement of Ford, GM and Chrysler. It is not a ‘specification’. If you want to do business with QM, Ford and/or Chrysler, you must comply with their requirements.

It’s Your Company and Your Systems! Don’t Try to Imitate Reference Manuals! Review Your Systems with Consideration to Appropriate Reference manuals. If You Can’t Explain Your Systems with Consideration to QS9000 Requirements, You Have Serious Problems.

Compliance Basics II If You Don’t Have a Close Relationship with Your Customer’s Supplier QA, You Could Have Serious Problems. You must maintain a Close Relationship with your registrar. When you have an interpretation question, CALL THEM and ask what their interpretation is! You’re paying them a lot of money to to audit your company.

Lessons Learned TS 16949 is NOT Rocket Science.
If you know your job and the systems which affect you, you should have no problem with an audit (assuming compliant systems). You must also be up-to-date on technology and methodologies which affect your job and systems
