1. Click on Edit- Edit Slides to be able to edit slide show. 2. Save this document in your student folders before you begin working. 3. If you need the drawing toolbar – click on view> Toolbars and select drawing ____ inches __ inches __ inches __ inches Helpful Hint: Click on an object and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move your object one space at a time. . Note: Resize any object by clicking on the object and dragging the corners with your mouse.

__ inches __inches __ inches __ inches __ inches To rotate an auto- shape. First get teacher permission please! Make sure you can see the drawing toolbar – Click on View>Toolbars in the top gray menu bar. Click on the autoshape that you want to rotate so that it is selected. Click on the word “Draw” in the drawing toolbar at the bottom of your screen- select “Rotate and Flip.” Choose Free Rotate. Now you will see a green circles around your shape- move your mouse over one of these and rotate with your mouse! ___ inches Did you know that you can rotate auto-shapes? Insert your own auto-shape Click on Insert in the gray menu bar at the top. Scroll down to Picture> Auto-shapes A little tool bar will pop up. Click on each group of shapes to see what shapes you can draw. Click on the shapes you want to draw. Put your mouse on the screen and You will now see a crossbar. Click on the screen to draw your object. Resize your object by clicking and dragging one of the corners of the object. Drag the object to the ruler to see how long the object is. Add a text box to type in the metric measurement. Click on the object and then choose Insert Text Box. Type the measurement inside of the object. - Note: You can also insert clip art and measure as well. Object Inches See directions below in the notes pane to add your own auto-shapes to measure. 5
