1 How to get the offer you want
Welcome, thanks for coming. We are from the Future Student team. You may have seen our s with our unofficial motto: we’re here to help. Tonight is about making sure you are comfortable with the process and have the chance to talk to us one-on-one if you need.

2 The pathway to university doesn’t need to be confusing
Results Response We want to make sure you know what is happening, when. The process has been very silent, but we want to you to know what’s going on in the background. Application via SATAC Offer Enrolment The University of Adelaide

3 What happens when 3rd December – Equal Consideration
18th December – Results Day 20th December – First Offer Round 3rd January – Change of Preferences 15th January – Main Offer Round From 24th January – Offer Rounds Continue The University of Adelaide

4 Ordering Your Preferences
If you want to study at Adelaide, reflect it in your preferences Your application helps us understand what you want to study and what you might need from us The order of your preferences should put you in the best position to receive an offer to your university of choice We look at your application and get an idea of what you are trying to achieve. Preferences are to assist the offer making process. The University of Adelaide

5 If you’ve always dreamed of being an engineer, you would show that in your preferences.
The University of Adelaide

6 What is Equal Consideration?
Deadline for applicants to pay their application fee prior to the first offer round Your application will be not be assessed if you have outstanding fees If you change your preferences while SATAC are assessing applications, you may not be considered for an offer in the next round You can change your preferences anytime except between 3rd Jan and 15th Jan, however we are not sure how that will affect the offers for the next round, ie the morning of an offer round. Lock your preferences down before results day. Also keep in mind that other people may be changing prefs so the website will be busy. The University of Adelaide

7 What Does that Mean? Application Submitted Fees Paid Preferences in the best order Your application is eligible to be assessed by SATAC and an offer made in the next round The University of Adelaide

8 SACE Results Day Your raw ATAR will not consider any adjustment factors (formerly bonus points) Use our chatbot via Facebook Messenger to get your adjusted ATAR You don’t need to change the order of your preferences, you can always update them later Raw ATAR given to you by your school – SATAC does this automatically, ie your adjusted ATAR is what SATAC are assessing. Finding out your adjusted ATAR is only for your own knowledge. Uni’s minimum entry requirement is 65 ATAR. If you have above 65, you’ll be able to study with us. We have other entry pathways.
