GETTING STARTED… All of today’s resources can be found at Create an account. ( On the homepage, click on the “Create a Sign-Up” button.

GENERAL DETAILS Name of Group: Select “Create a new group called.” In the dialogue box, type Your Name – Fall Conferences 2017. Title of Sign-Up: Add the same text as in the previous step. Description: Add a statement similar to this: If you would like to attend parent-teacher conferences, please sign-up for one of the available time slots. NOTE: Sign-ups will close at midnight on 10/17/17 to allow me ample time to prepare for each scheduled conference. Thank you for your continued support! Click “Continue.”

THEME Select a theme and then click “Continue.”

DATES/TIMES Select “Time Slots.” Start Date: 10/23/2017
End Date: 10/30/2017 Location: Jane Doe’s Room – Purple Hallway – Room 611 Include these Weekdays: Make sure Monday is the only day selected. Start Time: 3:30 p.m. End Time: 5:45 p.m. Time Slot Increments: Every 15 Minutes Click “Continue.”

Help Comment: Leave this blank. Show for Date/Time: Selected Dates: Select all of the 10/23 dates. Title of Slot: Monday, October 30, 2017 Conferences Help Comment: Leave Blank Selected Dates: Select all of the 10/30 dates. Click “Continue.”

SETTINGS Contact Info: “Yes” is automatically checked for “Name.” Check “No” for everything else. Click the box that says “Also hide the names from group members.” Public Sign-Up Comment: Call this field: Type “Your Child’s Initials” in the box. Required? Select “Yes.” Miscellaneous Preferences: The first and second boxes should be checked. The rest should not. In the drop down box, change the 2 to a 1. Click “Continue.”

PREVIEW Make sure everything looks correct then click on “Proceed to Invite and Publish.”

INVITE/PUBLISH Click on “Take My Sign-Up Live but Don’t Send E-mails.”
You’re finished! Copy the orange link and it to yourself.

ADD TO YOUR PLANNER… 10/5/17 & 1/18/18 – OPEN SIGN-UPS. Send home the parent note (see webpage) for Fall Conferences. Share the conference link with your parents via Remind, handout, etc… You may also want to include a link to your sign-ups on your webpage. 10/18/17 & 1/29/18 – CLOSE SIGN-UPS. You need to close your online sign-ups today in order to give you an adequate amount of time to prepare. You can do this by going to your link and signing-up up for any open spots. This way, all slots will be filled and no one else can sign-up.

ACCESSING APPOINTMENTS
Click on the white circle with your initials in the top right hand corner of the screen. Click on “My Account.” Click on your sign-up to view your scheduled conferences. Transfer your list to a sign-in sheet (see word.doc).

DELETING YOUR SIGN-UP When conferences have concluded, you may delete your sign-up. Do this by clicking on the white circle with your initials in the top right hand corner of the screen. Click on “My Account.” Find your sign-up and click the “…” button. Select “Delete.” Then, select “Yes, Delete.” Remember to also remove the link from your webpage.

YOUR TURN! Try creating a sign-up for spring conferences. Don’t forget to the link to yourself. You will thank yourself next year!
