Journal 4 What are your plans after you graduate high school? Do you need to have a plan right now? Why or why not?

Review/Summary of the Unit so Far
When you get the die, you have to answer a question from the unit. If you don’t know the answer you may “phone a friend” after giving it your best guess. Then toss the die to someone else What categories should go on a resume? What are some of the actual benefits of networking? What are the main sources of income? What does “cost of living” describe?

Review Employment tax Forms
Eligibility to work W-4 Deductions and withholding information W-2 Withholding details You fill these out when you get a job Your boss gives you this at the start of each year

Wages v. Income Wages- your pay rate (ex. $7.25/hour, $50,000/year)
Income- How much you actually take home Gross v. Net Income Same concept, different terms. Be familiar with all of them.

Is college the only post-high school option that you have? This will go over a bunch of other options for education that are available (some are better than others), as well as give some advice for those of you who are thinking about college.

Preview We’re going to talk about how to fund college next class. A lot of the things that we’ll talk about are things that you’ve got to start doing now, if you want to graduate without debt (and you do!)
