37 HAM RADIO TERMS/D-STAR INFO
If you ever wonder what some radio term is the following web sites have most of the terms you will hear or see. Here’s documents on D-Star: Setting up your radio. Training course on D-Star reflector linking/unlinking. D-Star information. 4/6/2019

38 SUMMARY We covered a lot of information on the Icom ID 5100A. Parts that we covered were: How to turn the radio on. That the screen is a tough screen. Button, knobs and menu’s. That the radio is a dual VFO radio and that it can be changed to a single VFO. How to change frequency using the VFO or manual tuning. That we can listen to weak signals by using the MONI menu. How to set the Home Channel. How to set up for Repeaters. How to setup memory channels. What to do to program call channels. How to set the power output level. 4/6/2019

39 SUMMARY There is a lot more to the radio than what I have covered. What I have covered will get you on the air. The radio in MERT will already be programmed for the frequencies/repeaters that will be used. If you need to set a different frequency it has been covered. As they say RTFB to get more about the operation of the radio. There is a operating guide on the wall behind the radio. There is an operating guide with the radio that will help you operate the radio. I have also included it with the handout. Questions? Thank you for your attention and I hope that you will now be able to operate the radio. If you have any questions later you can contact my at my address. TTTTTTTTHAT’S ALL FOLKS 4/6/2019
