1 How effective was your PDP?
unit 3d-f 3D Evaluate the effectiveness of your personal development programme. 3E Evaluate your performance in the two selected factors. 3F With reference to your current performance, justify the next steps in the planning for your future performance development.

2 Today we will be evaluating the success of our training programmes by:
Being able to comment on the usefulness of our training Being able to highlight the positives and negatives of training methods Learning to analyse all data gathered to come to a conclusion by comparing tests and data before and after training evaluate all progress made in the performance of both factors Use the information gathered to set new targets Learning intentions

3 3d evaluate the effectiveness of your PDP (6marks)
Comments must include: Usefulness of approaches Positive and negatives of the programme Appropriateness of the programme Targets set and achieved 3d evaluate the effectiveness of your PDP (6marks)

4 Initial data (to be used as a comparison)
Look at your gathering data sheets that were carried out the start of your training: Factor 1 should be (scatter diagram or skills checklist) Factor 2 should be one chosen from SCAT/Mt Questionnaire /POMS/discipline record Work out the percentage of success/unsuccessful shot or percentage of shots played/scored and where they land on the court. Use the tally marks or questionnaire results in your 2nd factor. Initial data (to be used as a comparison)

5 Information gathered during training
Use the knowledge of results sheet to determine if you were progressing in the right direction. Did you improve quickly so moved onto another skill or were you slow in progress so had to adjust your training or repeat certain method of training? Read over the feedback sheet from your teacher and peers. What did that highlight? In terms of your 2nd factor look over your training diary entries. How did you feel the training was going? Did you achieve the targets set in most sessions? Information gathered during training

6 Final data – as a comparison tool
After you have re-tested both factors (using the same gathering data sheet as before). You must compare all the stats (percentages of success/unsuccessful shot, percentage of shots play/scored at certain areas of the court, questionnaire results, scat test score) to see if your PDP has been successful. Has development need factor 1 improved? Has it improved dramatically or just a little? Be precise and include some info on comparison scores. Do the same for your development need for factor 2. Compare results and data gathered to assess if you have been successful with training factor 2. Final data – as a comparison tool

7 Conclusion Was the training appropriate for your development needs?
What worked/ what didn’t? What approaches helped you best? (Give an example and say how it helped) Did your training progress at the correct rate? Did you achieve your targets? Overall was your programme successful? Conclusion

8 3E Evaluate your performance in the two selected factors (4 marks)
Factor 1 physical skills What has improved in your performance? Consider: Preparation Action Recovery of skill Movement/fitness Are there any parts that you still need help with? Factor 2 – emotion/mental What has improved in your performance as a result? Consider how you act/feel Before During After Are there any areas that you are still having issues with? 3E Evaluate your performance in the two selected factors (4 marks)

9 Consider: Current performance Are there areas that still need work? If so, what precisely? What other areas were highlighted as a weakness? continuing existing personal development programme I am still anxious when I serve in badminton and when I plan for the future I will consider lots of practices that put me under pressure when serving. This will allow me to practice in challenging situations. (2 marks) I am going to continue to train three times a week to maintain my CRE. It will need to be at least three times a week otherwise I might get worse. (1 mark) 3F With reference to your current performance, justify the next steps in the planning for your future performance development.
