4. Create a hieroglyph of your name
Things to remember…
- Check the symbol for each letter
- Try to keep the symbols the same size
- Draw them vertically- so they read top to bottom
- Can you read this name?...

5. Create a Design for an Egyptian cartouche
Things to remember…
- Stay inside the template shape
- Write an actual word or name

6. Create a ceramic Egyptian cartouche
Things to remember…
- Use the guide sticks when rolling out the clay
- Try to keep the “worm” of clay the same thickness all the way along
- Always use “score and slip” when attaching clay.
