Using the Accountable Talk rubric, discuss the following questions: In “The Fun They Had”, the author says talks about how the students are reading and learning. What surprises Margie and Tommy about the old book? How are Margie and Tommy accustomed to reading? 4. Using the iPad app called Corkulous, post your sticky notes of your group comments and thoughts. Be sure to include any textual evidence or clues that support your opinions. This task uses: Common Core/NG Standard(s): SL Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on- one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 6 topics, texts, and issues, building on others’ ideas and expressing their own clearly.
