What is the bylaw review covering?
The bylaw review is considering the following questions: do we still need a bylaw? how effective is the current bylaw? how can we improve the bylaw? should other types of signs be included e.g. new technologies? should the bylaw include rules for election signs – currently in a separate bylaw?
7
Seeking early input from business stakeholders
Are there particular signage issues OR signage rules that create problems for businesses? Which standards in the current bylaw need to be amended? Should the bylaw allow for other types of signs, including new signage technologies? Is the current bylaw easy to understand and use? Should we make changes to the way the bylaw is written and presented?
8
Seeking early input from business stakeholders
We are seeking input about signage issues and the current bylaw through: an online survey potential workshops for the BIDs and BAs that would like an opportunity to meet with council staff public submissions on any proposed changes to the current bylaw – in early 2020
