Call our dedicated nurse line with injured employee to speak with a Sedgwick Registered Nurse Report the Claim Calling the nurse does not substitute for claims reporting Process Exceptions Employee emergency or Employee already sought treatment from the doctor,

5 The Nurse Consultation Team
Sedgwick Registered Nurses knowledgeable in work-related injuries provide next step care recommendations. Operational 365 days/year, 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week. Translation services available. All Calls are recorded. In the rare instance that all nurses are busy assisting other callers, Employee has the option to hold or leave a message for call-back from the nurse

6 PestSure Nurse Consultation
All Injuries, call for employee assessment and care recommendations by a registered nurse If Self Care is recommended the Employee has the option to call a nurse back Exceptions: 911 emergency situation Employee has already sought treatment

7 Emergency Situations In the event of a medical emergency Do Not Wait to talk with a nurse Examples may include but are not limited to: Difficulty breathing Chest pain Heavy Bleeding Loss of consciousness

8 What you can expect? Follow up survey within hours of triage Injury occurs. Employee advises supervisor. Supervisor reports injury per your internal process Employee and Supervisor call the dedicated nurse line Employee speaks confidentially with Nurse. Nurse reviews symptoms & recommends appropriate care. If provider care recommended, Nurse schedules appointment and faxes the nurse report. Nurse Report transmitted to Examiner, employee, and designated client contacts.
