The Unit contains two Learning Outcomes (LOs):
LO1
take part in a job-related discussion in the specific language (Speaking)
LO2
demonstrate understanding of basic vocational texts written in the specific language
(Reading)

5. Approaches to Assessment: Intermediate 1 (cont.)
Each Learning Outcome contains the following Evidence Requirements:
LO1
Candidate must:
— make six statements and ask at least two relevant questions
— be comprehensible to sympathetic listener

LO2
Candidate must:
— show evidence of comprehension of text(s)
— text(s) total maximum of 200 words
— candidates may use a dictionary

LO1 and LO2 are likely to be assessed separately at this level
Total time for assessment: 40 mins
