To brush the foot slightly OFF the floor

3. Rond de jambe
A circling of a straight leg on or off the floor

4. Développés
unfolding of the leg

5. Grand Battement
A big kick with a straight leg

6. Soutenu
A piqué step in fifth position, around oneself ending up with the other leg in front

7. Pirouette
whirl or spin with leg in passé

8. Wings
The areas to the left and right of the stage out of view to the audience. A part of the backstage area.

9. Apron
The curved area of the stage closest to the audience.

10. Back Stage
the stage area not visible to the audience.

11. House
The audience area
