3 1.2 – Getting Started Where are you going to go?
When are you going to go? How are you going to get there? Where are you going to stay? How long are you going to stay there? How many people do you want to take? BWV Walk Leader Training Extended Unit 1 – Conducting a Base camp

4 1.3 – Walks Program Research your chosen area for walks
How many walks per day? Up to 20 walkers – 1 walk per day 20 to 30 walkers – 2 walks per day More than 30 walkers – 3+ walks If more than 1 walk per day choose a variety of walk grades How many walk leaders will you have? 5 1.4 – Accommodation Caravan Parks are the simplest option
Walkers can make their own bookings for cabins, tent or caravan sites Other options include: Camping only: Are bookings required and who will make them? What are the costs? 6 Other options include: Group accommodation:

7 Using walker’s own cars: Normal club rules should apply
