A number is divisible by 2 (is even) if it has a ones digit of 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 (that is, it has an even ones digit). Examples: A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3. A number is divisible by 9, if the sum of its digits is divisible by 9.

A number is divisible by 4 if the number named by its last two digits is divisible by 4.
