Can fill gaps between Navy Training and civilian credentialing
Helps members find information on certifications and licenses related to their jobs. Can be credentialed in rating, collateral duty, job assignment or designator.

It is the MEMBER’s responsibility to contact the credentialing agency. Navy COOL is NOT a credentialing organization.

Enrollment
Credentialing courses are sorted by Rating (Enlisted)/Designator (Officers)
Request voucher
Schedule and take exam within 60 days
Report exam results to
Search by collateral duty, apprenticeship, and Career Area. Open to DON Civilians. Voucher funding is on first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility
Be in the appropriate rating, collateral duty, or assignment
Be currently working in, or previously assigned to a position
Have prior documented experience
Hold an academic degree or SOC CTE
SOC CTE = Servicemember’s opportunity colleges career and technical education program. Eligibility must be validated by command approving official.

Passed most recent PFA
No NJP or courts-martial within past 6 months
Recommended for promotion on most recent performance report
PFA waiver is acceptable. 12 months for special or general courts-martial. Per OPNAVINST B, must have a minimum of 6 months remaining service obligation.
