Creative Thinking vs. Critical Thinking
Creative thinking is a way of looking at problems or situations from a fresh perspective to conceive of something new or original. Critical thinking is the logical, sequential disciplined process of rationalizing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting information to make informed judgments and/or decisions.

Explaining a math problem to a peer in a way they understand. Making a colourful poster showing different types of chemical reactions. Developing a program to prioritize commitments (homework, job, social etc.) Troubleshooting a malfunction in a vehicle system.

Reflecting on your Core Competencies
Open your self-assessment slide deck in the classroom Go to the creative thinking slide in the slide deck. Using the examples that we have discussed, provide evidence or examples of your creative thinking. You may create as many slides as needed to show your evidence.
