3 Freely available databases Cornell Legal Information Institute Cornell has created the Legal Information Institute website, which contains a legal encyclopedia, federal and state codes, and government documents such as Federal Rules and CFRs. Nolo Nolo is a popular publisher of legal self-help books that has created an online dictionary of legal terms, a database of legal articles, and a variety of self-help topic guides. Google Scholar A subsection of Google that is solely for academic, scholarly articles. Google Scholar contains a search option for legal documents and court cases. For more information on how to use Google Scholar for legal research, please see our Google Scholar Research Guide. Justia Justia.com is a free website dedicated to legal resources. You can learn more about the law, find a legal blog or podcast, ask a legal question, or find a legal form. FindLaw.com A free resource that allows you to learn about subjects of the law, find legal forms, and search for a local lawyer. LLRX LLRX is an online web journal dedicated to law and technology articles. WashLaw Washburn Universitys guide to legal research. Topics arranged alphabetically, by subject, and by geographic location

4 WYLD databases HeinOnline A database of law journal and law review articles. Several public libraries around the state also have in-library access to HeinOnline. CQ Researcher Non-biased PDF reports on important social topics. Reports include: bibliographies, timelines, pro/con debates, current issues, and more. LegalTrac Coverage of major law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association and international legal journals. Proquest Congressional The most comprehensive online resource available for congressional publications and legislative research. Access the full text of publications dating back as far as the late 18th century. American Memory – Century of Lawmaking Records and acts of Congress from the Continental Congress and Constitutional Convention through the 43rd Congress, 1774-1875.

5 Government Websites FDSys The GPOs digital repository of federal documents. On this website, you can find many of the most popular government documents. Many of these current and historic government documents can be found in print at the Wyoming State Library and the Wyoming State Law Library. Congress.gov The official website for congressional information and activities. Search bills, reports, votes, etc. Federal Legal Research Guide State Judicial Branches Research Guide
