Thunderstorms – heavy rainstorms with thunder and lightning (cumulonimbus clouds)
Tornadoes – rapidly whirling funnel-shaped cloud (winds can be 300+ mph/500+ km/h)

4. Hurricanes – most destructive storm (much larger, carries an enormous amount of water, and lasts longer)
