Expectations Behaviour – following our 4 values
Representing Insch Primary Manners No technology taken on the trip No sweets taken onto the trip (you are fed enough!) Keep your things tidy in your room tidy You are not allowed in anyone else's room Clear Consequences Children will be on a warning system with inappropriate behaviour and they will be removed from skiing/swimming/ evening activities if it is not safe for them to do so.

Medicine Calpol, asthma, migraines etc
Anything that needs administered needs to be in a named box or zip lock bag with the medical form inside with details Handed to Mrs Stirling or Mrs Chalmers before getting on the bus Medical form to be done in advance Personal first aid kit can be kept in their rucksack/suitcase

House Accommodation

Room Allocation Due to the amount of children attending rooms have been allocated already.

Food Lunch: Children get to make as many sandwiches as they want – choice of fillings, Biscuits Crisps Supper: Juice Snack (sometimes cake, biscuits, fruit etc) Breakfast: On a typical day: Cereals Toast Fruit Sometimes: - pancakes Sausages and egg etc. Dinner: Main meal choices 1 meat option 1 vegetarian option

Shop There is a shop on site where they can buy juice etc. This will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the children after dinner. There will be a money slip to be filled out so we know who has money for this.

Day 1 - Monday Be at school for 9.15am sharp Bus leaves at 9.30am
Bring medicine in a sealed, named plastic bag and money All children to bring a packed lunch with them. Travel to Abernethy Arrive and settle in rooms Free Time Packed lunch in dining hall Get ready for afternoon activities – meet in Theatre 1.30/2.00pm meet at dry ski slope Children’s equipment will be ready based on the weight and height information we have received Children to become familiarised with ski equipment and skiing techniques Evening – Dinner Explorers Programme (1 hour) Supper Free Time – some structured sports may be available Bed Time

Day 2, 3 and 4 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Typically breakfast at 8.15am – TBC After breakfast make their own packed lunch and put in your group’s cool box 9am leave for skiing on your groups bus Arrive back about 4pm 4.30pm is the supervised swim time – expected to take part 6pm – dinner (TBC) 6.45pm – shop time 7pm – Free Time 7.30pm – Explorers Programme 8.30pm – Supper 9:00 – Up to rooms

Day 5 - Friday There are no activities planned for Friday
Children to pack up and tidy rooms Leave on the bus for Insch Aim to arrive around 11.30am. Parents to pick their children up from school around this time. Text message will be sent from Huntly. Should there be any delays due to traffic, Mrs Stirling will contact Insch and parents will be notified as soon as possible. Please be flexible on this day.
