The Telling Part or Predicate.
Day #2 The Telling Part or Predicate. All sentences have a Telling Part, it tells something about the naming part or subject.

The family goes to the lake.
This telling part tells what the family is doing.

Underline the Telling Part or Predicate
Grandpa sits on the sand. The kids jump up and down. Mom plays ball. Dad cooks dinner.

Sentence Parts. Meg + Jumps = Meg jumps.
Naming Part +Telling Part = Sentence Meg + Jumps = Meg jumps.
