5. History of the Helsinki Business College
Helsinki Business College was founded in 1881
Owner: Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce
Over members, the biggest chamber of commerce in the North Europe
The oldest business college in the capital area
Finnish Business College was founded in 1898
Owner: Foundation of the Finnish Business College
Members are associations of the Finnish business life
The first business college in Finland educating in the Finnish language
The two colleges were merged together in 2009.

6. Helsinki Business College from 2009
The merged college is well prepared to respond to the changing labor and competence needs of industry and commerce.
We offer a comprehensive selection of courses which allows students to specialize in their studies.
Helsinki Business College has 130 employees, 70 of them are teachers.
There are about 3000 students, of whom some 1600 are full time young students. 80 % of the students speak Finnish as mother language. The students represent about 50 different nationalities.
The college has Business Campus in Pasila and ICT Campus in Vallila (until ).
