14 Preparing for Resistance
Point: Schools should focus on teaching traditional subjects like math, sciences, English, etc. Counterpoint: Lions Quest is proven to improve performance in standardized tests. When SEL programs are implemented, academic performance improves Point: Our school day is too full. Our students need to prepare for example. Counterpoint: Lions Quest improves classroom climate and reduces dangerous & disruptive behavior, so teachers can actually spend time teaching Point: Programs like this cost too much. Counterpoint: In recent analysis, Lions Quest was found to provide $6 in taxpayer benefit for every $1 invested Preparing for Resistance
