1. 2nd Grade News We are learning….. Dates to Remember
Reading- Ask who, what, when, where, why, and how questions to understand details of a text. Retell stories and determine central message. Describe how characters respond to an event. Describe the beginning middle and end of a story. Identify the main idea of a text.
Use text features, such as bold letters, in text.
Phonics- Consonant Blends such as –nd in hand, sk in desk, br in brave, st in state, etc
Math-2. We will be skip counting forward and backwards by 5, 10, and 100 starting at random numbers. We will be practices number words, expanded form, and standard form.
Language- Nouns verbs, adjectives, capitalization. Opinion Writing.
Science- In science we will be learning about different types of landforms.
Friendly Competition: The first class with 100% PTO participation will receive a pizza party. It is $5 for individual and $10 for families.
If you need to change your child transportation please send it in writing for each child. Verbal request from the child will not be accepted.
