If there is a resource your students will need to have to complete the assignment OR if you are providing students a worksheet to complete, click +Add Resources and upload the document. 9 Select the Due Date & Time Set this assignment’s preferences Schedule to Assign Later: allows you to choose a date that the assignment becomes ‘live’ . Late turn-in allowed: Changing this to Yes will allow students to turn in an assignment after the due date but will mark it as late with a date/time stamp. Points: this will allow you to assign a point value for the assignment. Be sure to make this point value the same as what you enter into Synergy for this assignment. Under the Student tab, /Office 365 (Students can access Office 365 two ways, through the district/school website or by visiting  We suggest going through office.com as it is easier to navigate on a mobile device and requires less steps) Please login to your Office 365 accounts using one of the methods listed. If you do not know your login information, I can provide it for you through Reports in Synergy or you can see it in StudentVue. 8 Click on Teams Once you are logged into Office 365, you will see all of the applications that you have access to as a student. Today, we are going to explore how to participate in a Teams Conversation and/or how to complete an activity in Teams Assignments. 9 Find your Class Team Select Teams on the far left 1
Click on your Class 1 2 On the left of your screen, be sure that Teams is selects in order to see all of your classes for this semester listed. 10 Navigating to Conversations
1 Click Conversations Find your teacher’s post Note: The most recent post will be at the bottom of the page! 3. Click Reply to respond to your teacher’s post 2 At the top of the screen, you will notice our class has four sections: Conversations, Files, Class Notebook, & Assignments. Please click Conversations. Find the post made by your teacher and read the directions thoroughly. 11 Replying to a Post 3 2 1 4 Click the to expand the textbox and gain more features Type where it says reply Use the options to Bold, Italicize, Underline words or make a bulleted list Click the arrow to send your message Once you click reply, I encourage you to always click the A at the bottom left of the message window. This expands the textbox and gives you more options to add to your post! Begin typing your reply. Be sure to use complete sentences and no slang words. Once you have typed your message, notice you have options to made words bold, italicized, or underlined – simply select the text you want to change and choose one of the options. You can even create a bulleted/numbered list when needed. 12 Replying to a Classmate’s Post
@Person Name 2 1 4 Click the to expand the textbox and gain more features Type where it says reply – then type the person’s name to tag them Use the options to Bold, Italicize, Underline words or make a bulleted list Click the arrow to send your message As we see all of the replies coming in from your classmates, notice you can click on each other's posts and click Reply to! This is how we engage in an online conversation. Follow the same directions as when you replied to the teacher, but this time try tagging the person you are replying to – then type the person's name to tag them in your message. 13 Finding an Assignment 1 2 3 4 Click Assignments
Your Class Team 1 Your Class Team 2 Click Assignments Click the assignment on the due date the teacher has provided Read the instructions Complete the task under My Work. Note: Your work saves automatically so you can exit Teams and come back late to continue where you left off 3 From our Class Team, click on Assignments. Sort through the calendar view of assignments and find the task that your teacher created. This task will be located on the due date that has been assigned.  Click on the assignment once you have found it. Read through the instructions posted on the assignment. If there is a document already listed under My Work, this means your teacher has given you a resource to view or a worksheet to complete (directions should either be listed in Instructions or on the document that you have given students).  If the teacher has specified that you need to create a document, presentation, video, etc. You will need to click +Add Work and choose from the options listed to create or upload your work. 4 ©EOSEDU Any training materials made available to view or download are the copyrighted works of EOS Education. 14 Submitting an Assignment
When you are ready to submit, click Turn In If you notice a mistake and the due date has not passed, click Undo Turn In, fix your mistake, and Turn in again 1 Once you have follow all instructions and completed the task, click Turn In at the top right corner. Remember – if you notice a mistake or that you forgot to do something, you can come back and make changes as long as the due date has not passed! You would click Undo Turn In, make your changes, and click Turn In again. Once your teacher has reviewed and graded your assignment, you will receive notification in Teams or you can navigate back to this assignment to view the feedback. ©EOSEDU Any training materials made available to view or download are the copyrighted works of EOS Education.
