Want to make full use of turn-by-turn measurements Have been experiencing problems with turn-by-turn positron Timing signal degradation causing sampling jitter Average measurements (100 turn) ok although degraded S/N Not able to distinguish beam size growth versus centroid motion on shorter timescales Have April 8, 2019 CESR-c Electron Cloud Measurements

Hardware Changes Electron beam profile monitor Presently does NOT have a shutter Hence operates at lower gain in a multi-bunch scenario to avoid destroying the PMT array Will install shutter system tomorrow Positron beam profile monitor Presently has optical magnification of ~15x OK for “steady-state” studies Too much for dynamical studies Will reduce magnification by ~2x tomorrow April 8, 2019 CESR-c Electron Cloud Measurements
