Every task comes in phases. We tend to enjoy certain phases more than others, we tend to be good at certain phases more than others. A Director spells out what people need to do and gets them to do it. A director has the greatest influence in settings where people are unable and unwilling. A Persuader gets people to do things they know how to do. A persuader has the greatest influence in settings where people are able but unwilling. A Perfecter helps people do things they want to accomplish. A perfecter has the greatest influence in settings where people are unable but willing. A Unifier helps capable and willing people understand how their efforts contribute to the big thing getting accomplished. A unifier has the greatest influence in settings where people are able and willing. Observation:

This profile measures the degree to which someone will assume they are responsible to make it work. Prophets know that they are responsible to have “the answer to the questions” others are asking. Coaches feel responsible to guide the group. Teammates feel responsible to do their part. Assistants sense they are responsible to help in ways they can. Stewards believe someone else in the group it responsible while they faithfully carry out whatever is assigned to them. Shared tasks may involve a formal committee /or board that hold regular meetings. Other tasks may involve a ministry team with informally coordinated efforts. Observation:

It is important to read the definitions of each of these 16 temperament traits. The test measures a person according to those definitions and not your perception of what they mean. They come in pairs but each is measured independent of the other. A person can be high in both parts of a pair or they can be low in both parts of a pair.
