orphan (n. / v.) Define: a child whose parents are dead Example: I am an orphan. I was orphaned at the age of nine. Ask: Do you know any characters who are orphans? Anna, Batman, Boba Fett, Cinderella, Elsa, Frodo Baggins, Harry Potter, Snow White, Tarzan and more…

Define: show or tell how to do
teach (v.) Define: show or tell how to do Example: The teacher teaches us how to do things by telling and showing us examples. Ask: Is there something you are good at that you can teach me? Is there something you can teach me how to do? I can teach you how to ______.

tooth (n.) Define: one tooth, many teeth Example: When a tooth falls out we say, “I lost a tooth.” Ask: How many teeth have you lost? What do you do with a tooth when you lose it?

watch (n. / v.) Define: (1.) A watch is a small clock you wear on your arm (wrist). (2.) To watch means to look at. Examples: (1.) You can wear a watch on your wrist to tell the time. (2.) I watch movies on YouTube. Ask: What movies do you like to watch?

Example: I wish I could have a big birthday party. So I made a wish.
wish (n./ v.) Define: Something you want to have or do is something you can wish for. Example: I wish I could have a big birthday party. So I made a wish. Ask: What do you wish you could do? I lost a tooth, so I made a wish. I put the tooth under my pillow and wished the tooth fairy would come.
