Pattern for Little Bags I do not charge for my pattern but if you use it I would appreciate it if you could make a small donation to a charity of your choice I have used DK yarn and size 3mm needles. This will give you a bag that is 4 inches by 4 inches. This gives a nice firm stitch, but you can change the thickness of the yarn and the size of the needles to suit yourself. For the bag Cast on 25 stitches by the cable method. Moss stitch (k1, p1 on every row) until the work measures 8 inches. Cast off. To make the flower Cast on 3 stitches Stocking stitch 2 rows Row 3 k1, m1, k1, m1, k1 4 p1, m1, p3, m1,p1 5 k1, m1, k5, m1, k1 6-8 continue in stocking stitch 9 k1, sl 1, k1, psso to last 3 stitches k2tog, k1 10 p1, p2tog to last 3 stitches p2tog, p1 Repeat rows 9 and 10 until there are 3 stitches left Cast off. Make 5 petals. For the centre of the flower buttonhole stitch round a small washer. Attach petals and centre to the bag with slip stitch and put a small bead in the centre of the washer. Fold bag in half, right sides together and slip stitch side seams. Turn to right side. For the strap twist several strands of yarn together and stitch securely in place.
