Reminder: mapping table should help us to understand: the national educational system and allocation of programmes to the ISCED levels

Understanding the mapping tables is important: for us (providers and first users of national data in the European context) and all users of the UOE statistics - to see e.g. the differences between countries for colleagues who are working on other social statistics projects and need the ISCED classification for their variables on education (LFS, ECHP, TUS…)

Propositions: To highlight compulsory education: Information on age of compulsory education could be added above the table: Age of compulsory education: 6-14 years “compulsory education” could be indicated in the notes

Propositions: Programmes could be numbered by two-level numbering: 0.1 (ISCED 0) ... 1.1 (ISCED 1) 2.1 (ISCED 2) (2.1 for programme ISCED 2A, for 2B… 3.1 (ISCED 3) (3.1 for programme ISCED 3A, … 3.5 for 3B… etc.) 4.1 (ISCED 4) 5.1 (ISCED 5) 6.1 (ISCED 6)
