Course Descrıptıon
In this course students will work on writing skills needed to succeed in the academic environments. The course will use instructor- provided authentic materials on academic topics. The assignments and course work cover major components of academic writing, including:
preparation
planning
writing a draft
reviewing/revising
writing the final product

Course Goals
The students who take this course will be able to
write a descriptive paragraph,
write a narrative paragraph,
write an expository paragraph,
write a persuasive paragraph,
practice process writing,
produce meaningful and well-structured paragraphs.

The most succesful students in this course;
Attend almost all the classes.
Expand on their learning by participating the class activities.
Prepare presentation assignments after thinking carefully on it.
Have their materials and stationery with them (Course book, pencils, notebook).

Students will be respectful to other students and the instructor.
In particular, STUDENTS WILL NOT TALK WHILE THE INSTRUCTOR OR ANOTHER STUDENT IS TALKING.
NO CELL PHONES OR TEXTING. Turn off your phones and other electronic devices so they do not make a noise during the class.

ABSENTEEISM HAS UTMOST IMPORTANCE AND THE LIMIT IS 13 hours and above within the duration of the course.

9. Why do people learn englısh?

English is also the language of the Internet. Many websites are written in English – you will be able to understand them and to take part in forums and discussions.
Since English is spoken in so many different countries there are thousands of schools around the world that offer programmes in English. If you speak English, there're lots of opportunities for you to find an appropriate school and course to suit your academic needs.
