WHat is a classification system
The classification system is the way of organizing the living organisms on earth. Things that are closer related and share more traits in common are classified into groups together. Organisms are classified based on evolutionary relationships (common ancestors)

Ingroup When trying to classify species there is the group being studied, the ingroup.

Outgroup Outgroup, used as a point of comparison. It contains previously cataloged species related to the ingroup but distant enough to posses distinct traits.

As we move up the cladogram toward the INGROUP, we get more exclusive with each trait
