2 Page 1 One hot day in Africa, Anansi met brother dog.
“Hello brother dog will you be my friend?” asked Anansi. “Yes” replied Dog. “If you are a true friend buy me a cake!”said Anansi joyfully. “Ok I will buy you a cake” spoke Brother Dog. Anansi said “come to mine at 12 o clock alright!”

3 Page 2 Anansi turned the clock five minutes fast.
“Brother Dog you are late I ate all the cakes.” Brother Dog went home ANGRY. “Brother goat will you be my friend?” asked Anansi.

4 Page 3 “Yes I will be your friend” replied Brother Goat.
“If you are a true friend buy me a cake!” said Anansi. “Ok I will” said Brother goat.

5 Page 4 “Come to mine at 12 o clock” replied Anansi. “Ok”said Brother goat. Anansi turned the clock 5 minutes fast . “Brother goat I ate all the cakes because you are late.” “Sister Goose will you be my friend?” “Yes I will be your friend” replied Sister Goose.

6 Page 5 “If you are my friend buy me a cake”
“ok” said Sister Goose. Anansi said “come to mine at 12.”

7 Page 6 Anansi tured the clock forward. “You are late Sister Goose. I ate all the jaffa cakes and pies.”

8 Page 7 Later that day, all the animals had a meeting about Anansi and how he had tricked them so meanly. They felt very CROSS! So they decided to trick him back. “Anansi come to mine at 12 and bring lots of food you like as we are going to have a party,” spoke Brother Dog. “ ok” said Anansi joyfully. Anansi brought lots of delicious food. He brought: jaffa cakes, yams dripping in chilli sauce, chocolate cake and plantains. He couldn’t wait.

9 Just before he could tuck into the gorgeous food, “Anansi your hands are muddy go and wash them” cried all the animals. While he washed his hands, everyone ate the food. Anansi was furious!!!! But Anansi had learnt his lesson . Moral: never be greedy.
